The Consumation is a clear beer with copper highlights brewed in the pure German tradition. It offers scents of earthy hops and smoked ham. In the mouth, malt predominates, but the dry and bitter hops quickly come through with a distinct smoky taste.
Germany 1516 – William IV of Bavaria enacts the German Beer Purity Law (Reinheitsgebot). From that point forward, the only ingredients to be used in the production of beer are barley, water and hops. In Bamberg, brewers begin to make a beer with malt dried with beech wood which confers to it a particular smoky aroma. La Consumation is an extraordinary experience for every retired fireman or for any smoked bacon, smoked meat and jerky steak lover.
