L’Affaire Dreyfus – Barrel-Aged
L’Affaire Dreyfus – Barrel-Aged
L’Affaire Dreyfuss is a brown beer with a light head and a nose of candied fruit, caramel and balsamic vinegar. On the palate, the work of the barrel and the micro-organisms inside expresses itself through a crisp acidity and undertones of rock candy and hazelnuts, much to the delight of Flanders beer lovers. It is an ode to the Captain Alfred Dreyfus’ resilience, who was unjustly deported and imprisoned on this French Guiana penal colony island at the end of the 19th century. There is no doubt that after a year of being confined in barrels, this beer will also be released with all the respect it deserves. Brewed in collaboration with l’Isle de garde (Montréal).
