Lord Barlow
Lord Barlow
Lord Barlow is a 100% British ale that was aged for 12 months in red wine barrels. It features a nose with pleasant aromas of red fruits, vanilla and caramel. Its palate is a malty and hoppy offensive, which gives it a nice balance of smooth and bitter notes, the sum of which stretches out to a suave and vinous finish.

Did you know that
Born of the friendship between André Trudel and the leading British brewer Alex Barlow, this traditional English ale will surely surprise you. This new version, aged over a year in Cabernet Sauvignon barrels, will introduce you to Brettanomyces claussenii: low-intensity bacteria that produce a negative Pasteur effect and which were isolated for the first time from an English beer batch at the beginning of the 20th century.

Who it is for
Alex Barlow is a master brewer with 30 years of experience in the brewing industry, notably within large companies like Bass. Brewed in a style that has almost disappeared, this mild beer is the fruit of a clever combination of the “British” savoir-faire and traditions that the TDD has respected since its very beginnings.
